9 Vintage Apple Products That Are Still Valuable

It’s hard to believe that the technology giant Apple was founded back in 1976. Over the years, the company has introduced products that have fundamentally changed how we work, communicate, and enjoy entertainment. While Apple continues to launch exciting new products, older versions of its revolutionary tech still command considerable interest from collectors and can be worth a surprising amount of money. If you happen to have any of these vintage Apple products tucked away, you might be sitting on a valuable find.

    1. Apple Macintosh

This computer was the foundation for all of Apple’s modern computers. Launched in 1984, the Macintosh might seem bulky compared to today’s sleek laptops, but collectors consider it a key piece of Apple history. A complete Macintosh collection sold for $47,000 in 2016, and individual vintage Macintoshes have fetched over $1,600 on eBay.

    1. Original iPod

      eBay logo

The first generation iPod, released in 2001, went through various iterations before being discontinued in 2022. As these are no longer manufactured, the original versions are considered highly valuable. A factory-sealed, first-generation iPod sold for $20,000, with others selling for around $1,500 on eBay.

    1. Apple iPad (First Gen)

      eBay logo

The first iPad, introduced in 2010, paved the way for the iPad Mini, iPad Air, and iPad Pro. If you still have the original model, you could sell it for a good price to collectors. Prices often exceed $3,000, depending on the specific model and condition.

    1. iMac G3

These iconic, bulbous personal computers, produced from 1998 to 2003, were a common sight in college dorms. While designed as an accessible consumer device, well-preserved versions can sell for around $700 on eBay.

    1. LaserWriter

      eBay logo

Apple created the LaserWriter in 1985 as the first network-capable printer. Today, pre-owned models are worth over $1,200.

    1. Original iPhone

Apple’s iPhone is nearly everywhere now, but constant upgrades make earlier models almost obsolete. The original iPhone, which launched in 2007, revolutionized smartphones. While prices fluctuate based on condition, an unactivated original iPhone can sell for over $2,800.

    1. Newton

      eBay logo

Released in 1993, the Newton was an early personal digital assistant (PDA). It’s considered a technological precursor of tablets we use today. Vintage Apple collectors are willing to pay well for this product, with some models selling for over $1,500.

    1. Apple Lisa

      eBay logo

Apple’s desktop computer Lisa, which debuted in 1983, was originally aimed at businesses. Named for “Local Integrated Software Architecture,” it was considered a commercial failure, mainly because of its high price (almost $10,000!) and some early software issues. It was discontinued in 1986 and followed by the Macintosh. In 2024, an Apple Lisa with its original software recently sold for $1,500.

    1. Apple II

      eBay logo

The Apple II was a major advancement for Apple. It included a built-in keyboard, multi-color on-screen graphics, and much more. It was also a very popular innovation by Apple, selling 6 million units over its 16-year production run. One model sold for over $8,000 on eBay.
