Modine, a leading provider of power and cooling solutions, has been awarded a substantial $180 million contract. The deal involves supplying its advanced ‘Airedale by Modine’ cooling systems to a new customer building out AI infrastructure. The company anticipates deliveries throughout 2025 and the first half of 2026.
Art Laszlo, group vice president for data centers at Modine, expressed enthusiasm about the project, stating, “We are excited to leverage our engineering expertise to provide a fit-for-purpose solution that helps this important customer achieve their objectives.” He further highlighted Airedale’s commitment to “solve their most complex challenges through customized solutions that are meticulously engineered by our global data centers team to deliver superior operating performance, efficiency, and reliability.”
Manufacturing for this large-scale project will be based at Modine’s facilities in Rockbridge, Virginia, and Grenada, Mississippi. This strategic production plan underscores Modine’s commitment to meeting the surging demand in the data center market.
Neil D. Brinker, president and CEO, added, “Our current order intake, significant development funnel, and this new business win provide us with confidence in our ability to drive organic growth and support our expectation of delivering organic growth in excess of 30 percent in our next fiscal year.” This statement reflects the company’s optimistic outlook and robust growth trajectory.
Modine acquired Airedale in 2005, and since then, Airedale has expanded its reach into one of the largest end-to-end cooling solutions providers in the data center sector. Bolstering its position in the industry, the company recently announced the acquisition of Canadian air handling company Scott Springfield Manufacturing.
In its latest quarterly earnings report, Modine reported impressive financial growth, particularly in the data center segment. Revenue within this sector experienced a remarkable year-over-year increase of 176 percent, encompassing both cooling and power infrastructure solutions. This impressive growth highlights the increasing importance of efficient cooling in AI and data center applications. The company is focused on expanding its capabilities to meet increasing needs.
