The Christabel Pankhurst Institute and Translation Manchester have announced the launch of the Pankhurst Health Technology Translation Toolkit, a new resource designed to support the journey of health technologies from research to patient benefit.
This toolkit is designed for academics, industry professionals, and NHS staff involved in the development of health technologies, including software-based medical devices, non-invasive medical devices, and implantable/invasive medical devices. The toolkit is packed with features designed to help users navigate the complexities of bringing research and innovations to the healthcare sector.
Users will have access to step-by-step guides for health technology translation, a progress tracker designed to monitor key translational milestones, a comprehensive resource database, a directory of support networks, and real-world examples of health technology innovations developed by The University of Manchester.
Commenting on the toolkit, Professor Alex Frangi, Director of the Christabel Pankhurst Institute, stated, “Translation and innovation are key priorities of the Christabel Pankhurst Institute. This toolkit assists colleagues in understanding the steps necessary to bring health technology innovations to real-world application. It provides practical guidance for navigating the translational pathway, while also supporting the institution in evaluating its portfolio of health technology innovations.”
A launch webinar will soon introduce the toolkit and its functionality. Further details will be shared shortly. In the meantime, mark your calendars for April 1, 2025, from 10-11 am.
The University of Manchester invites you to explore the toolkit to discover how it can support your translational research.
