The Department of Defense (DoD) is increasingly focused on leveraging commercial technology to boost its capabilities and scalability. However, integrating innovative technologies into the DoD remains challenging, and new vendors experience difficulties entering this complex market.

The Defense-Industrial Initiatives Group (DIIG) hosted a video on demand event to address these issues. The event featured Liz Young McNally, Deputy Director for Commercial Operations at the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU); Louis A. Koplin, Program Executive Officer for Digital and Enterprise Services (PEO Digital) at the Department of the Navy; and Justin Fanelli, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the Department of the Navy. The discussion explored strategies for integrating advanced technologies, identified barriers to progress, and examined opportunities to streamline and improve innovation adoption across the DoD.

This event was made possible through general support to CSIS.
