Beats Studio Pro: A Bargain at the Current Price
Amazon is currently running a sale that includes a significant discount on the Beats Studio Pro headphones. Originally priced at £349.99, you can now snag a pair for just £199 – a substantial 43% reduction. This deal is available as part of Amazon’s ‘Early Spring Deal’ event.
The Beats Studio Pro are the latest high-end offering from Beats, the audio brand owned by Apple. These over-ear Bluetooth headphones boast active noise cancellation (ANC) to eliminate background noise, as well as a transparency mode that lets you hear your surroundings when needed. This makes them suitable for commuting, travel, or just enjoying music at home.
One of the standout features is the improved connectivity with Android devices. While owned by Apple, Beats has ensured a seamless experience for Android users with a dedicated app for quick pairing, settings adjustments, and software updates. Of course, they work smoothly with Apple products too, offering personalized spatial audio and dynamic head tracking with Apple Music, Apple TV+, and other compatible apps.
Battery life is also a major highlight. You can expect up to 40 hours of playback on a single charge, which is reduced if you’re using noise cancellation. They also fold up for easy storage in a bag, or the included canvas carry case. Additionally, they come with a 3.5mm headphone cable for direct connection to devices, and the USB-C charging cable can plug into USB-C Android phones for lossless audio playback.
In terms of sound quality, I regularly use the Studio Pro to listen to music and podcasts, and at £199, you’re getting a great sound for the money. The quality is on par with the Apple AirPods Max, which are much more expensive. They’re a solid option if you are looking for noise cancelling headphones and want to spend around £200.
However, it’s worth noting that the fit of the Studio Pro can feel quite snug. I have a larger head, and I sometimes need to take them off after a few hours for my ears to rest. The earcups fit over my ears, but it can still create pressure. If you’re sensitive to pressure from headphones, you might want to try them out before fully committing.
At the time of writing, Amazon has the Beats Studio Pro on sale in black, brown, white, navy and sandstone. If you want to avoid the plastic construction picking up fingerprints, the white or sandstone colors could be best.
Since Amazon lists the Beats Studio Pro for £199 as an ‘Early Spring Deal’, the price may not last long. Amazon’s Spring Deal Days sale began on Tuesday March 25 and will run until Monday March 31.
