Prior to her current role, she held significant positions in several government agencies and bodies. These included roles at the Health Resources and Services Administration within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the White House’s Office of Science and Technology Policy, and the National Security Council. She also previously held leadership positions at the Department of Homeland Security and at the Biomedical Advanced Research Projects Authority, also within HHS. Furthermore, she has served on a range of science advisory panels.
