Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has noted a significant shift in President Donald Trump’s demeanor during his second term, describing him as calmer and more confident.
Bezos on Trump’s Transformation
In a recent interview, Bezos shared his observations on the changes he has witnessed in the former president. “What I’ve seen so far is he is calmer than he was the first time — more confident, more settled,” Bezos stated.

Bezos, who also owns The Washington Post, has had a previously contentious relationship with Trump, particularly regarding the newspaper’s critical coverage. This past conflict has seemingly softened recently.
Bezos highlighted the administration’s efforts to work with business leaders and foster dialogue on significant economic and technological matters as evidence of this shift.
Speaking at the New York Times’ DealBook Summit, Bezos shared, “I’m very hopeful — he seems to have a lot of energy around reducing regulation. And my point of view is, if I can help him do that, I’m going to help him, because we do have too much regulation in this country.”
Bezos’s comments suggest a willingness to put aside past disagreements to focus on mutual objectives, signaling a potential turning point in the relationship between the White House and Silicon Valley and a more functional relationship between two major, influential personalities.
