Gate Technology Ltd. Announces Rebranding to Gate.io in Europe
Gate Technology Ltd., previously known as Gate.MT, has officially rebranded to Gate.io. This strategic move signals the company’s commitment to bolstering its presence across the European market and aligning its operations with the established Gate.io brand, a prominent global player in the cryptocurrency exchange sector.
Since 2022, Gate Technology Ltd. has been serving European clients, operating under a VFA Class 4 license granted by the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA). In Italy, the company’s subsidiary is registered as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) with the Organismo Agenti e Mediatori (OAM), a registration completed in 2024. Both entities will continue to provide services under the new Gate.io branding.
The rebranding initiative is aimed at leveraging the renown and recognition of Gate.io, a leading cryptocurrency exchange with a substantial global user base of over 22 million clients. This shift is part of a broader strategy to increase the company’s brand visibility within Europe, reinforcing its dedication to delivering high-quality cryptocurrency exchange and custody services.
Giovanni Cunti, CEO of Gate Technology Ltd., acknowledged the rebranding as more than just a name change. The company is committed to enhancing its services for European clients, ensuring a secure and user-friendly experience while adhering to local cryptocurrency regulations. In the coming months, Gate Technology Ltd. plans to broaden its regulated operations throughout Europe.
