Texas Tech Athletics is set to host a virtual event titled ‘Opportunity Amid Chaos’ on Wednesday, March 17, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. The event will be streamed live on Texas Tech’s social media channels, YouTube, and TexasTech+.
The 45-minute program will feature Director of Athletics Kirby Hocutt, head football coach Joey McGuire, and Texas Tech University System Board of Regents member Cody Campbell, among others. The event aims to educate supporters about Texas Tech’s fundraising priorities, particularly regarding the Red Raider Club and Matador Club, while highlighting the recent opening of the $242 million Dustin R. Womble Football Center.

During the event, Hocutt and Campbell will discuss Texas Tech’s recent fundraising successes, including facility enhancements and Name-Image-Likeness support. They will also outline the steps ahead as the athletics department enters the revenue-sharing era of college athletics at the highest levels.
In a separate segment, McGuire will be joined by new defensive lineman Skyler Gill-Howard inside the Womble Football Center’s locker room. Their conversation will focus on Gill-Howard’s journey to Texas Tech and his initial impressions of his first few months as a Red Raider after joining the football program as part of the nation’s top-rated transfer class.
The event will be hosted by Robert Giovannetti, with interviews taking place around the Womble Football Center. For more information or to submit questions, supporters can contact the Red Raider Club at rrc.events@ttu.edu or by calling 806-742-1196.
