Women in Technology of Tennessee (WiTT) is set to host its annual leadership panel event on Tuesday, October 29, at 4:30 p.m. This year’s event will take place at Accenture’s West Nashville office, located at 4101 Charlotte Ave., Suite A170.
The panel, moderated by Lisa McFarlin, Account Executive for the Nashville Business Journal, will feature a distinguished group of women in technology leadership positions. The panelists include:
- Jacky Akbari, CEO of Worthington Academy
- Sunny Bray, CEO of Catalyst Collective
- Yvette Clark, CIO of Middle Tennessee State University
- Amy Deaton, President and COO of EvidenceCare
Since its inception in 1999, WiTT has been dedicated to fostering the growth and success of women in the tech industry through various initiatives. These include career development and networking events, outreach opportunities, and scholarship and internship programs.
“The Leadership Panel is truly the most impactful event we hold every year,” said WiTT President Dana Ward. “Our members and the Nashville community at-large learn so much from these diverse women and how they have each navigated their tech careers and the obstacles they’ve faced.”
Registration for the event is now open at wittn.org, with fees varying based on membership status. Non-members are welcome to attend for a registration fee of $25.
This event promises to be an enlightening experience, offering valuable insights into the tech industry from women who are making significant contributions. By attending, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the field, as well as the chance to network with like-minded professionals.
