IBM has announced the launch of a dedicated Microsoft Practice within IBM Consulting, marking a significant enhancement in their collaboration with Microsoft. This strategic move aims to drive complex AI, cloud, and security transformations for clients by integrating IBM’s industry expertise with Microsoft’s advanced technology portfolio.
Key Elements of IBM’s Microsoft Practice
The new practice brings together a team of over 33,000 Microsoft-certified professionals globally, who are equipped to provide innovative solutions in cloud, AI, data, and security. IBM’s Microsoft Practice will operate by integrating Microsoft’s technology ecosystem within IBM’s AI-powered delivery platform, IBM Consulting Advantage. This integration ensures that clients can deploy optimal AI solutions while maintaining enterprise governance and security.
Integration with Microsoft Technologies
The practice will leverage Microsoft technologies such as Azure OpenAI, Azure Cloud, Fabric, Sentinel, and Copilot capabilities. IBM has a strong track record of delivering over 14,000 Microsoft projects worldwide, including successful implementations like the State of Arizona Department of Child Safety’s use of Microsoft generative AI solutions. More than 30 IBM software solutions are optimized for Microsoft Azure, offering clients tailored automation and AI solutions.
Industry-Specific Solutions
IBM’s new practice will focus on developing industry-specific solutions for sectors such as retail, government, financial services, and supply chain. Offerings will include IBM Copilot Runway and IBM Consulting Azure OpenAI Services, designed to help clients unlock new growth opportunities, enhance operational efficiency, and drive industry-specific innovation.
Commitment to Client Success
“IBM Consulting is committed to our clients’ successes,” stated Mohamad Ali, Senior Vice President and Head of IBM Consulting. “Establishing a dedicated Microsoft Practice is needed to drive meaningful business outcomes for our clients, and I look forward to what we will be able to achieve together.”
This strategic enhancement positions IBM to provide end-to-end transformation services and enterprise-grade security, further strengthening their offering in the market.
