Ukraine Introduces ‘Amazon-Style’ Marketplace for Defence Equipment
Ukraine’s Brave1 defence technology cluster, in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Transformation, has launched an online marketplace for defence technology, as announced in a press release on April 28, 2025. The platform, known as ‘Brave1 Market,’ currently lists over 1,000 defence technology products, including unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), electronic warfare (EW) systems, signals intelligence (SIGINT) systems, artificial intelligence (AI)-based technologies, software, and ammunition.

According to Brave1, the marketplace is expected to expand to include tactical gear and combat simulation systems. However, details about the ammunition available on the platform remain limited due to its classification as a ‘closed category.’ The marketplace is restricted to verified military personnel for sensitive equipment information, which can be accessed through the Ukrainian government and military ‘Delta’ communications system.
To make a purchase, buyers must contact manufacturers directly after selecting their desired technology. Ukraine’s Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, described Brave1 Market as becoming the ‘Amazon for the military,’ enabling units to acquire necessary technologies directly.
The launch of Brave1 Market represents a significant development in Ukraine’s defence technology procurement process, providing a streamlined platform for military units to access various defence technologies.
