Evaly E-commerce Platform Hacked, Hacker Demands Contact from Employees

The website of Evaly, a controversial Bangladeshi e-commerce platform, was compromised on May 24, 2025. A hacker claimed to have accessed customer data and demanded contact from company staff. The hacker’s message on the website read, “HACKED, I HAVE ALL CUSTOMER DATA. EVALY STAFF PLEASE CONTACT [email protected]. OR ELSE I WILL RELEASE THIS DATA TO THE PUBLIC.”

The extent of the breach, including what specific data may have been accessed, has not been independently verified. Evaly has not issued a formal statement regarding the incident. This hacking incident follows renewed legal scrutiny of the company and its founders. On April 13, 2025, a Dhaka court sentenced Evaly’s managing director, Mohammad Rassel, and chairperson, Shamima Nasrin, to three years of rigorous imprisonment in a fraud case. The case was filed by a customer who claimed to have paid BDT 12.37 lakh for five motorcycles that were never delivered through Evaly’s platform.

The hacking incident raises concerns about the security of e-commerce platforms in Bangladesh and the potential consequences for customers whose data may have been compromised. As the situation develops, customers and stakeholders are awaiting an official response from Evaly regarding the breach and the measures being taken to address it.
