NVIDIA and Foxconn Deepen Partnership to Boost AI Computing in Taiwan

TAIPEI, Taiwan, May 18, 2025 — NVIDIA and Foxconn Hon Hai Technology Group have announced a significant expansion of their partnership to build an AI factory supercomputer. This initiative aims to deliver state-of-the-art NVIDIA Blackwell infrastructure to researchers, startups, and industries across Taiwan.

Foxconn’s subsidiary, Big Innovation Company, will provide the AI infrastructure as an NVIDIA Cloud Partner. The AI factory will feature 10,000 NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs, significantly expanding AI computing availability and fueling innovation for Taiwan’s researchers and enterprises.

Key Features of the AI Factory Supercomputer

    • NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra systems: Including the NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 rack-scale solution with NVIDIA NVLink, NVIDIA Quantum InfiniBand, and NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet networking.
    • Advanced AI Computing: Orders-of-magnitude faster performance compared to previous-generation systems, benefiting TSMC researchers and other industry players.
    • AI Cloud Computing Resources: The Taiwan National Science and Technology Council will utilize the Big Innovation Company supercomputer to provide AI cloud computing resources, accelerating AI development and adoption across various sectors.

“AI has ignited a new industrial revolution — science and industry will be transformed,” said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA. “We are delighted to partner with Foxconn and Taiwan to help build Taiwan’s AI infrastructure, and to support TSMC and other leading companies to advance innovation in the age of AI and robotics.”

    Impact on Various Industries

The AI supercomputer will be used to accelerate automation and efficiency across Foxconn’s three core pillars: smart cities, electric vehicles, and manufacturing. It will help optimize connected transportation systems, enable advanced driver-assistance systems, and streamline operations through AI-driven analytics and digital twin technologies.

By leveraging this advanced AI infrastructure, Taiwan aims to create a smart AI island filled with smart cities, fostering a strong AI industry and encouraging the everyday use of AI tools.

This collaboration underscores the commitment of NVIDIA, Foxconn, and the Taiwan government to advancing AI innovation and infrastructure in the region.
