Orbitt Space, a space technology startup founded by former Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) scientists, has secured $1 million in a pre-seed funding round. The investment round was led by Pi Ventures, with participation from IIMA Ventures.
The Ahmedabad-based startup, co-founded by Christopher Parmar and Anupam Kumar, will utilize the funds to accelerate the development of its proprietary electric propulsion technology and avionics systems. Both Parmar and Kumar have extensive experience in satellite design, testing, and deployment, having spent over eight years at ISRO before establishing Orbitt Space.
The funding will enable Orbitt Space to advance its technology in the space sector, focusing on electric propulsion systems and avionics. This development comes as the space tech industry continues to attract investment and innovation.
