Ignition Unveils Plans for AI-Powered Pricing Intelligence

Practice management software provider Ignition unveiled early plans for its “AI-powered pricing intelligence” on June 10. This new functionality, currently in development, aims to provide businesses with artificial intelligence-powered pricing suggestions tailored to their individual services.

According to Greg Strickland, Ignition’s CEO, the AI-powered pricing feature will draw from real billing data across thousands of services to deliver dynamic, contextual suggestions. These suggestions will be based on specific service attributes entered by customers, such as industry, service name and description, billing type and frequency, and region.

“Undercharging services. Underselling value. Second-guessing prices. These are problems dragging down profitability across the industry,” Strickland said at AICPA Engage. “With AI-powered pricing intelligence, our goal is to help business owners stop guessing and start pricing with confidence.”

The AI pricing suggestions will be informed by thousands of billed services, providing customers with real-world insights into what clients are actually paying. This feature is currently being tested and is expected to be released by the end of 2025. Ignition plans to integrate the AI-powered pricing intelligence into its proposals workflow, allowing customers to see where their prices sit within the expected range and the suggested price for their services.

“We’re taking our time to build a responsible and meaningful AI-pricing model that will deliver real value to our customers into the future,” Strickland explained. Ignition customers can join a waitlist to register their interest in the AI-powered pricing intelligence at https://www.ignitionapp.com/product/pricing-intelligence.

The development of AI-powered pricing intelligence represents the company’s latest innovation in helping service-based businesses optimize revenue through smarter pricing and packaging. Ignition envisions expanding pricing intelligence to include comprehensive, personalized pricing suggestion reports across a customer’s entire service offering in the future.
