The tech industry’s layoff wave shows no signs of abating in 2025. According to independent layoffs tracker Layoffs.fyi, last year saw more than 150,000 job cuts across 549 companies. As of now in 2025, over 22,000 workers have been impacted by reductions across the tech industry, with a staggering 16,084 cuts occurring in February alone.
