Edmonds College to Host Third Annual ‘AI For Everyone Day’
Edmonds College will host its third annual AI For Everyone Day on Saturday, June 28, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Hazel Miller Hall on campus. The free event is part of the AI Community Connections Speaker Series and is open to the public.

Dr. Carey Schroyer, Dean of STEM at Edmonds College, stated, “Our goal at Edmonds College is to ensure AI is accessible to all members of our community, no matter their background.” The event is designed to demystify artificial intelligence and equip community members with the insights, information, and tools needed to understand AI’s transformative potential.
The event will feature:
- Interactive workshops showcasing AI applications in everyday life
- Expert talks from passionate AI enthusiasts and Edmonds College faculty
- AI labs where attendees can practice using common AI tools and apps
- A Q&A session with experienced educators
- Networking opportunities with like-minded community members
The workshops will cover topics such as using AI to work smarter, the ethical considerations of AI, and understanding deepfakes. Activities will include coding robots and exploring AI tools in the AI Sandbox.
The event is free, and no pre-registration is necessary. Doors open at 9:30 a.m., with check-in between 9:45 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. Parking is available in lots A, B, C, E, and F.
Edmonds College offers various AI-related courses, programs, and clubs, including a Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence, courses in AI ethics, and clubs like the Rocketry and Drone clubs.
The college serves approximately 16,000 students annually and offers a wide range of comprehensive offerings, including college credit in high school, online degrees, and certificates, as well as support services like childcare and mental health resources.
