Google and University System of Maryland Launch Career Training Initiative
Google is partnering with the University System of Maryland (USM) to provide access to Google Career Certificates and AI training across all 12 USM campuses. This collaboration aims to support Marylanders in acquiring job-ready skills, with a special focus on military students and veterans.

To further support student veterans nationwide, Google.org is providing $4 million to Student Veterans of America (SVA). This funding will help veterans access Google Career Certificates and AI training, as well as support SVA’s efforts to improve university services for student veterans.
The collaboration between Google and USM is part of a broader effort to connect people with job opportunities. With over one million people having completed Google Career Certificates globally, and more than 70% reporting positive career outcomes, this initiative aims to make a significant impact on the career prospects of Marylanders.
