Startup Pitching Contest Scheduled for Indore IT and Technology Summit
Indore will host a premier startup pitching competition, ‘MP Innovest,’ as part of the IT and Technology summit during the Global Investors Summit (GIS). The event is a collaborative effort between the Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation (MPSEDC), the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Drishti Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore, and the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore.

Official sources indicate the competition is designed as a hackathon-style event for technology enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders to showcase innovative solutions in fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), financial technology (fintech), and sustainable technology. The primary goal is to offer mentorship, networking opportunities, potential funding, and incubation support to promising startups.
The IT and Technology summit is slated for the first day of the GIS.
Distinguished speakers and delegates, including industry leaders, policymakers, and technology visionaries, will be present to explore investment prospects in areas such as IT parks, data centers, AI, semiconductors, cybersecurity, fintech, and emerging technology-driven ventures. The Department of Information Technology, Science, and Technology, which is organizing the summit, plans to provide comprehensive insights on government incentives, policy frameworks, recently launched policies, and updates on current policies to potential investors.
The Madhya Pradesh government has recently introduced several new policies, including the IT, ITeS & ESDM Investment Promotion Policy 2023, the Global Capability Centres Policy 2025, the AVGC-XR Policy 2025, the Drone Promotion & Usage Policy 2025, and the Semiconductor Policy 2025.
Key sessions at the IT and technology summit will address subjects such as AI, cloud computing, semiconductor manufacturing, and Industry 4.0. Discussions will also cover the growth of tier-2 and tier-3 cities as Global Capability Centre (GCC) hubs, Madhya Pradesh as a potential semiconductor manufacturing destination, opportunities in drone and spacetech, and Madhya Pradesh’s developing AVGC (Animation, VFX, Gaming, Comics) ecosystem.
A comprehensive case study will be presented, highlighting the accomplishments of leading tech enterprises and startups. It will be followed by individual meetings and specialized sessions for policymakers and industry experts.
Notable speakers scheduled to appear include Avinash Vashishta, founder of Tholons; Anand Chitre, Global Head at Barclays; Bala MS, CEO of Stratinfinity Inc; Ramesh Iyer, Country Head, South Korea, TCS; Vineet Dhawan, Managing Director, DCT (Digital Commerce Technologies); and Utkarsh Singh, Founder and CEO of DronaMaps.
