Pinewood, a company associated with Lithia Motors, has announced its intention to acquire the remaining ownership of Seez, an auto retail technology provider, for $42 million. The strategic move is designed to enhance Pinewood’s presence in the North American market, with a specific focus on deploying artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions, including chatbot technology, in U.S. dealerships.
Pinewood revealed the acquisition on February 20th, emphasizing that the integration of Seez’s AI and machine learning capabilities would be instrumental in supporting its expansion efforts. Lithia Motors is planning to begin piloting Pinewood’s software in the U.S. during the second half of 2025.
