NEW YORK — Mark43, a leading provider of public safety technology solutions, has been chosen to modernize the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Division of Emergency Management’s public safety technology infrastructure. This initiative is being undertaken through a contract awarded to SNO Corp. (SNO). As part of this effort, the NIH Division of Emergency Management will integrate Mark43’s cloud-based public safety software platform, which includes Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), a Records Management System (RMS), the OnScene mobile application, and advanced analytics through Insights.

The NIH Division of Emergency Management plays a crucial role in safeguarding scientific research, testing facilities, and sensitive sites across three federal campuses located in Maryland (Bethesda Main/Satellites Campus and Fort Detrick Laboratories) and Montana (Rocky Mountain Laboratories). These facilities handle infectious diseases, radiation, and other biohazards. The NIH’s contributions to research, innovation, and solutions, as demonstrated during the COVID-19 pandemic, are essential to national security and intelligence efforts. This necessitates a sophisticated approach to emergency management to protect the campuses and the safety of officers.

“We are honored to provide the Mark43 intelligent platform to the National Institutes of Health Division of Emergency Management,” said Bob Hughes, Chief Executive Officer at Mark43. “With our FedRAMP High Authorization, federal agencies can rely on Mark43 for the highest security standards and mission-ready technology. We are committed to supporting our clients with cutting-edge technology, allowing them to respond more quickly, act faster, and improve safety outcomes.”

“Partnerships like this are critical for the advancement of public safety technology,” explained Abhi Patwardhan (Co-Founder and President), Abhijit Walvekar (Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer), and Debbie Rieger (EVP, Contracts and Strategy) at SNO Corp. “By combining our decades of expertise in federal procurement, implementation, and technology with Mark43’s operational platform, we aim to deliver secure, best-in-class solutions for the NIH Division of Emergency Management. Our history of delivering leading-edge software, combined with the capabilities of the Mark43 product suite, will address the division’s specific mission requirements and help them fulfill their essential work.” SNO Corp. added that they look forward to continuing this strategic collaboration with Mark43 across the local, state, and federal levels.

Patty Trexler, Vice President and General Manager of Federal and Emerging Markets at Mark43, noted, “We are enthusiastic about partnering with the NIH Division of Emergency Management to bring Mark43 CAD, RMS, OnScene, and Insights to their campuses. Through this collaboration with SNO Corp., officers will have access to an interoperable and integrated solution that is driven by real-time advanced analytics. That will enhance cross-division decision-making, aid in crime prevention, and improve officer safety. We are pleased to provide our modern technology platform to the NIH Division of Emergency Management, supporting the safeguarding of their federal campuses.”

The Mark43 intelligent platform will provide the NIH Division of Emergency Management with powerful cloud-native solutions designed to enhance safety, efficiency, and collaboration. The CAD system will work to improve emergency response coordination. The RMS will provide real-time data updates and connectivity. The OnScene mobile application will offer increased situational awareness and officer GPS tracking, and Mark43 Insights will promote data-driven decision-making.

SNO Corp. is a full-service technology company offering project management, quality assurance, and implementation support for cloud software. The company focuses on the commercial and public sectors and serves federal clients, including the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

This collaborative effort represents a significant milestone for both SNO and Mark43 as they work together to support federal agencies with innovative technological solutions. The partnership reflects a commitment to improving public safety through advanced technology integration.
