ALPHARETTA, Ga. — Tech Alpharetta is slated to move into a new, custom-designed space this fall, according to an announcement made on August 20. The nonprofit startup incubator will relocate in October to 925 North Point Parkway.
The new facility will feature ample free parking, Wi-Fi, high-speed internet, and complimentary snacks and coffee. A fitness facility is conveniently located next door.
Karen Cashion, President and CEO of Tech Alpharetta, stated that the modern facility will enable the organization to better serve the growing tech startup community in Alpharetta and the broader north Metro Atlanta area. Since its establishment in 2015, the local tech community has expanded rapidly, increasing the demand for startup office space, the statement noted. The incubator currently supports over 50 tech startups, having already launched 21 companies since its inception, leading to 1,462 new jobs in Alpharetta and a total of 2,064 jobs across Georgia. As the first organization of its kind in the state, Tech Alpharetta focuses on fostering technology and innovation. It offers thought leadership events for local tech executives and a STEAM mentoring program for high school students, in addition to its incubator program.
“Tech Alpharetta’s new headquarters will allow for even more technology companies to call Alpharetta home,” said Mayor Jim Gilvin. “Since its creation in 2012, the city has been a proud supporter and contributor to Tech Alpharetta’s success. We look forward to continued partnership and a shared mission for Alpharetta to remain a leading tech hub in the region.”
The City of Alpharetta has allowed Tech Alpharetta to use its current location at 2972 Webb Bridge Road rent-free as part of a partnership agreement. Although the organization will pay rent at its new location, it will continue to receive some financial support for operational costs.
Cashion expressed Tech Alpharetta’s gratitude, saying, “Tech Alpharetta is very grateful for its continued, longtime partnership with the city.”
