Former President Donald Trump has shared an AI-generated video depicting a lavish resort called ‘Trump Gaza,’ set against the backdrop of the war-torn Gaza Strip. This action follows his controversial remarks suggesting the United States should take over the Palestinian territory.
Trump shared the video on Tuesday, February 25, via his Truth Social platform. The video opens with footage of the Gaza Strip, which has suffered extensive damage during the Israel-Gaza war. The scene then morphs into a luxurious resort with palm trees, luxury vehicles, and upscale hotels. The video features a catchy tune with lyrics like, “No more tunnels, no more fear / Trump Gaza is finally here!” It also includes an AI-generated Elon Musk, whom Trump proposed to lead his government efficiency department, enjoying Middle Eastern food. Additionally, the video shows a large golden statue of Trump and smaller golden figurines.
This video was released shortly after Trump’s statements on February 4, at a White House news conference. Alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump expressed interest in “a long-term ownership position” for the U.S. in Gaza. He stated, “The U.S. will take over the Gaza Strip, and we will do a job with it too.” He further elaborated on his plan to manage the area: “We’ll own it and be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous unexploded bombs and other weapons on the site, level the site and get rid of the destroyed buildings,” promising “unlimited numbers of jobs and housing for the people of the area.” Trump also envisioned the region as a “Riviera of the Middle East.”

These comments have sparked outrage. According to The Guardian, Trump suggested that the 1.8 million Palestinians in Gaza should relocate to neighboring countries with “humanitarian hearts” and “great wealth,” calling Gaza a “symbol of death and destruction.” The Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’s office rejected Trump’s proposal to “take over” the region, emphasizing that Gaza “is an integral part of the State of Palestine,” as reported by the BBC.
Trump’s remarks also drew criticism from lawmakers. Senate Foreign Relations Committee member Chris Coons stated, “You can report that I was speechless … That’s insane.” Michigan Representative Rashida Tlaib, the first Palestinian American woman in Congress, added on X that “Palestinians aren’t going anywhere.”
