ACI Worldwide and Co-op Extend Technology Partnership
LONDON, UK – March 25, 2025 – Global payments technology provider ACI Worldwide has extended its strategic partnership with UK convenience retailer Co-op to further support its development.
The agreement will see Co-op continue to leverage ACI’s Payments Orchestration Platform. This includes in-store, online, and mobile payment processing, alongside end-to-end payments and fraud management capabilities. Co-op operates around 2,400 stores across the UK.

By partnering with ACI Worldwide, Co-op has implemented several key payment initiatives. These include the use of ACI’s point-to-point encryption tokenization technology to secure payment data. In 2024, Co-op migrated its payment and fraud prevention software to ACI’s multi-tenant cloud platform on Microsoft Azure. This migration enhanced scalability, security, and data protection.
Representatives from ACI Worldwide noted that its technology will enable Co-op to keep scaling and launching further projects. Co-op emphasized its commitment to optimizing its solutions, with a continued focus on delivering payment security, choice, and convenience in collaboration with ACI Worldwide.
The extension of the Co-op partnership follows ACI Worldwide’s collaboration with Ingo Payments. The two companies have joined forces to scale digital disbursement capabilities. Through this, ACI Worldwide launched ACI Speedpay Digital Disbursements. This feature within the ACI Speedpay platform facilitates digital fund transfers for businesses. The move addresses evolving consumer needs and regulatory changes.
ACI and Ingo Payments plan to give businesses flexible integration options for digital disbursements. Firms are planned to access both Embedded Payment solutions and fully hosted, SaaS-based disbursement platforms.
