
The AEV Cross Association Technology Working Group has announced Matt Wilson as its new chair and Adam Douglas as its vice chair. The group, which brings together members from the Association of Event Venues (AEV), the Association of Event Organisers (AEO), and the Event Supplier and Services Association (ESSA), focuses on exploring the evolving role of technology within the events industry.
New Leadership
Matt Wilson, a commercial strategist with over 24 years of experience in event technology, international events, and publishing, takes on the role of chair. Wilson most recently served as Chief Revenue Officer at Iventis, where he spearheaded the company’s expansion into new markets.
“I am honoured to serve as the chair of the cross-association working group on technology, bringing together members of AEV, AEO, and ESSA. This group provides a collaborative space for event professionals to explore and address the evolving role of technology in our industry, helping to drive best practices and innovation across the sector,” said Wilson.
Adam Douglas, the IT Client Engagement & Services Lead at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC), will serve as vice chair. Douglas is focused on delivering exceptional experiences for clients and visitors through technological innovation.
The AEV Cross Association Technology Working Group expressed its gratitude to outgoing chair Dave Young and vice chair Rob Bowell for their dedication and leadership over the past few years.
