AICTE and IG Drones Launch Drone Centres of Excellence Across India
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has partnered with drone technology startup IG Drones to establish drone centres of excellence (CoEs) in 50 engineering colleges across India. This initiative aims to train 200 students from each participating university, equipping over 10,000 learners with specialized expertise in drone technology.
The program aligns with the Indian government’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ and ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’, focusing on bridging the skill gap in emerging technologies. By providing training in drone technology, AICTE and IG Drones are working to enhance the country’s technical capabilities and prepare students for the growing demands of the drone industry.
