Amazon Brings Just Walk Out Technology to Lesley University Campus
Lesley University, a private institution in Cambridge, Massachusetts, has launched an Amazon Just Walk Out technology powered store on its campus. This innovative store provides students with a seamless shopping experience, allowing them to purchase snacks and beverages without traditional checkout processes.

Brisbane Vaillancourt, Regional Vice President at Aramark Collegiate Hospitality, expressed excitement about the new store in a LinkedIn post: “Today we opened our first Just Walk Out Store in the Northeast, at Lesley University. Students can now access fresh food, 24/7 and use their meal plan.” Vaillancourt added, “Technology sure is changing the game in higher education and it’s tons of fun being a part of it!”
The introduction of this technology follows Amazon’s milestone of opening its 100th third-party store powered by Just Walk Out technology last October. Ritu Subash, Principal PM – Physical Stores Tech – Just Walk Out at Amazon, celebrated this achievement on LinkedIn, saying, “Milestones like these make the work we do worth it! On to the next 100.”
Just Walk Out technology is not limited to university campuses. It has been implemented in various locations worldwide, including airports, stadiums, schools, and convenience stores, revolutionizing the retail experience across different sectors.
This development at Lesley University demonstrates the growing integration of technology in educational settings, enhancing student experiences through innovative solutions.
