Andhra Pradesh Government Partners with Microsoft to Enhance AI Skills
Andhra Pradesh is taking a significant step towards preparing its workforce for the future by partnering with Microsoft to enhance artificial intelligence (AI) skills. The initiative, announced on March 13, 2025, aims to equip young people in the state with cutting-edge technological skills to boost their employment prospects.

Under the agreement, approximately 200,000 individuals will receive training in AI and other modern technologies over the next year. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Microsoft and the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC). The state’s IT Minister, Nara Lokesh, was present at the signing. The primary goal is to prepare the local workforce for the growing demands of the IT sector and related industries, thereby increasing employment opportunities.
This collaboration demonstrates the state government’s commitment to fostering economic growth and skill development by working with leading global technology companies. Microsoft’s training program anticipates preparing young people from Andhra Pradesh for the international job market, providing them with expertise in the latest technologies. This initiative underlines the state’s forward-thinking approach to economic development in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
