Anduril Raises $2.5 Billion Led by Founders Fund, Doubles Valuation to $30.5 Billion

Anduril, a defense technology startup specializing in autonomous weapons and control software, has secured a $2.5 billion Series G funding round led by Founders Fund with a record-breaking $1 billion investment. The funding round, which was over 8 times oversubscribed, has doubled Anduril’s valuation to $30.5 billion. According to an Anduril spokesperson, the company doubled its revenue to approximately $1 billion in 2024, likely playing a significant role in attracting such substantial investment. The company’s recent success has been further bolstered by its acquisition of a massive U.S. Army contract for developing advanced AR/VR headsets for soldiers. This contract, originally awarded to Microsoft with a $22 billion budget, was reassigned to Anduril in February. The deal is so significant that it prompted Anduril founder Palmer Luckey to publicly forgive Meta, his former employer, last week when the two companies announced a partnership to develop devices for the project. The news of the funding was disclosed by Anduril executive chair and co-founder Trae Stephens, who is also a partner at Founders Fund, during an interview on Bloomberg Television.
