WHITEHOUSE, Ohio – The Anthony Wayne Local Schools (AWLS) Technology Department is set to host a free cybersecurity workshop for community members on Wednesday. The workshop is scheduled for February 19 at 12 p.m. and will be held at the AWLS Central Administrative Office located at 9565 Bucher Road in Whitehouse.
The workshop aims to educate participants on creating secure and memorable passwords, as well as how to use web browser password managers effectively to protect sensitive information. “Cyber threats and cyber attacks are becoming more sophisticated each day,” AWLS stated in a press release. “The workshops are provided as a service to our community to share best practices for safeguarding personal, family and business information from ransomware attacks and identity theft.”
