Apple is making a major commitment to American innovation, with plans to invest $500 billion in the U.S. over the next four years. A key component of this investment will be the construction of a new state-of-the-art facility in Houston, Texas, dedicated to producing AI servers.
According to an Apple announcement, this facility will support Apple Intelligence, the company’s personal intelligence system designed to enhance user experiences. The initiative is expected to create approximately 20,000 new jobs across the country.
The $500 billion investment encompasses a wide range of projects, including collaborations with thousands of suppliers across all 50 states. The funding will support direct employment opportunities, the development of infrastructure for Apple Intelligence and data centers, and the expansion of corporate facilities and Apple TV+ productions across 20 states.
Apple’s significant contributions to the U.S. economy continue, with the company having paid over $75 billion in taxes in the past five years, including $19 billion in 2024 alone.
Apple CEO Tim Cook emphasized the company’s commitment to the future of American innovation. “We are bullish on the future of American innovation, and we’re proud to build on our long-standing U.S. investments with this $500 billion commitment to our country’s future,” Cook said. “From doubling our Advanced Manufacturing Fund, to building advanced technology in Texas, we’re thrilled to expand our support for American manufacturing. And we’ll keep working with people and companies across this country to help write an extraordinary new chapter in the history of American innovation.”
