AWS Introduces Quantum Embark Program
Quantum computing is rapidly emerging as a transformative technology with the potential to revolutionize industries. However, businesses often face challenges in assessing the relevance of this technology to their specific needs. Today, AWS announced the launch of Quantum Embark, a new advisory program designed to guide customers through the world of quantum computing.
This program aims to provide expert guidance, insights, and support for organizations looking to explore the potential of quantum technologies. With Quantum Embark, customers can start learning about quantum computing in as little as a few weeks, with no long-term commitments.
The Quantum Embark Program’s Structure
AWS’s quantum computing service, Amazon Braket, offers access to a range of quantum hardware on a pay-as-you-go basis. The Quantum Embark program builds upon this by adding advisory services for those just beginning their quantum journey. The goal of the program is to assist businesses in:
- Identifying their most critical, compute-intensive use cases.
- Gaining an understanding of the current state of quantum technologies.
- Pinpointing which quantum technologies are the most relevant.
- Making informed decisions about future resource allocation and their long-term quantum roadmap.
The Quantum Embark program, delivered by the Amazon Advanced Solutions Lab, consists of three standard modules:
- Use Case Discovery: This module helps customers identify potentially relevant quantum applications based on their existing business problems.
- Technical Enablement: This two-day workshop introduces the basics of quantum computing and allows attendees to experiment with quantum programming frameworks and hardware.
- Deep Dive: For those with some experience, this module focuses on building in-depth expertise in a specific application area.
Customers have the flexibility to choose the module(s) that best fit their needs and experience level.
