Biograph: Pioneering Preventive Health Through Advanced Diagnostics
Dr. Peter Attia, a leading expert in healthy aging, has launched Biograph, a preventive health and diagnostic clinic designed to revolutionize how we approach longevity. Co-founded with tech entrepreneur John Hering, Biograph operates on a proactive healthcare model, prioritizing early detection and personalized care with plans for nationwide and international expansion.

Biograph Clinic Exterior
Biograph, currently located in the San Francisco Bay Area, aims to extend both healthspan and lifespan leveraging cutting-edge technology and comprehensive health assessments. The clinic’s methodology involves collecting over 1,000 data points from more than 30 medical evaluations to generate highly personalized health insights, covering five key health areas:
- Atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease
- Metabolic dysfunction
- Brain health and neurodegenerative disease
- Cancer risk and early detection
- Quality of life metrics
At the heart of Biograph’s approach are advanced diagnostics, including whole-body MRI scans, cardiovascular imaging, genetic testing, neurocognitive assessments, and multi-cancer early detection tests. This wealth of information provides a nuanced picture of an individual’s health, enabling targeted interventions and lifestyle modifications.
“Diagnostics are foundational to evaluating and implementing an effective health strategy informed by a systems-based approach, as well as comprehensive analyses that consider each data point within the context of an individual’s entire health picture,” explains Dr. Attia. “Biograph’s evaluation is best in class, which is why I recommend my patients start here.”
Biograph’s preventive strategy is designed to identify and address potential health issues before symptoms arise, focusing on long-term wellness optimization rather than simply treating disease.
Membership Options and Early Results
The clinic offers two membership tiers:
- Core: A $7,500 option that provides a detailed, one-time health assessment.
- Black: A $15,000 membership that includes ongoing expert support, consultations with specialists, and at-home monitoring tools to refine health strategies.
Before its official launch, Biograph had already identified urgent health insights in over 15% of its members, uncovering potential conditions such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, and neurodegenerative disorders.
Expert Team and Forward Vision
The clinic’s methodology was developed under the guidance of Dr. Michael Doney, a specialist in precision longevity research previously in emergency medicine. “My transition from emergency medicine to the preventive health field stemmed from a conviction that patients deserve a more comprehensive understanding of their health and well-being,” says Dr. Doney, Biograph’s executive medical director. “Recognizing the variability in quality among health tests, scans, and assessments, I was drawn to Biograph’s mission. We are committed to providing the most in-depth analysis of a broad range of health factors, enabling members to not only extend their lifespan but, more importantly, to optimize their healthspan and overall quality of life.”
Biograph is set to open its second clinic in New York City’s financial district shortly opening a total of six locations both in the United States and abroad. According to Hering, “Inspired by one of my best friend’s cancer diagnosis, Biograph was founded on the belief that with the proper application of advanced medical technology and early detection, we can save lives. There is no greater investment we can make in the future, as individuals or humanity, than in our health. With an approach rooted in scientific evidence, Biograph is poised to be an integral catalyst helping to redefine what it means to live a better and longer life.”
