Bladee, Yaeji, and Cuco Partner on AI Projects with Microsoft
Swedish rapper Bladee, Korean-American singer and DJ Yaeji, and Mexican-American artist Cuco have joined forces with Microsoft and TBA Agency for a cutting-edge project called Artifacts. The initiative explores how artificial intelligence can amplify artistic expression while remaining rooted in human imagination.
Using Microsoft’s Copilot AI suite and open-source AI tools, these artists have created new works. Bladee collaborated with James Ferraro to develop Sanctuary, a first-person desktop adventure game. Yaeji worked with Andrew Thomas Huang on the music video for her new song, “Pondeggi.” Director Huang explained that AI was used as a pipeline tool and to alter the story. Cuco teamed with Paul Trillo and Paul Flores to make the short film “A Love Letter To LA”, using generative models trained on Flores’ drawings, reinterpreting and remixing the images, while a team of traditional artists animated them.
