Boise State University’s College of Innovation + Design and the College of Engineering’s School of Computing are hosting the third season of their MashUp speaker series, featuring experts from diverse fields in engaging conversations. The next event, “Boom & Bust – Wellness and Technology,” will take place on April 30 from 5-6:30 p.m. at JUMP in Boise.
The event will feature two speakers: Moji Sadegh, Associate Professor of Civil Engineering at Boise State, and Brad Mosell, founder of Dharma Dr. Sadegh will discuss “Wildfire Shocks,” highlighting how technological innovations such as big data and remote sensing are revolutionizing wildfire risk management and informing policy decisions. Mosell will present “Warthog Zen,” reflecting on the legacy of the A-10 Warthog, its connection to Boise, and the intersection of engineering precision and mindfulness in military maintenance and meditative practices.
