China has announced it will increase support for artificial intelligence (AI), science, and technology innovation, according to a government document prepared for the annual meeting of the National People’s Congress (NPC).
The initiative aims to encourage more technological breakthroughs and enhance self-reliance, with a focus on the application of AI models and the development of venture capital investment. The government report also outlined plans to foster “industries of the future,” including biomanufacturing, quantum technology, embodied AI, and 6G technology.
