Cisco and ServiceNow have launched a significant enhancement to their seven-year partnership at RSAC Conference 2025 in San Francisco. The integration combines Cisco’s AI Defense product with ServiceNow’s SecOps, promising more comprehensive AI risk management and governance.
Key Features of the Integration
Cisco’s EVP and Chief Product Officer, Jeetu Patel, emphasized the challenges and opportunities AI presents in cybersecurity: “We think the hardest thing in the history of security has been with AI – and the largest opportunity in the history of security has been with AI.” He highlighted the increasing sophistication of attackers, underscoring the need for an ecosystem approach that leverages each company’s strengths.
For their mutual customers, this integration means combining Cisco AI Defense, launched in January 2025, with ServiceNow SecOps. AI Defense acts as an enforcement layer, identifying AI-specific threats and vulnerabilities, while SecOps provides workflows and automation for IT and security teams to respond to potential issues.
Enhanced Collaboration
Amit Zavery, Chief Product Officer and COO at ServiceNow, noted that the partnership aims to provide a seamless experience for customers by integrating their solutions to solve end-to-end problems. “The work Cisco has been doing around AI security… was very attractive to all of us here at ServiceNow, and we’ve been able to… work together to really create something unique for the customers.”
Jeetu Patel described the potential impact of this integration as having “an exponential kind of return back to the customer.” He noted that virtually every enterprise customer uses both Cisco and ServiceNow products, making this integration a natural step to help them maximize their existing investments.
Availability
The integration is expected to be available to mutual customers in the second half of 2025. Cisco and ServiceNow plan to roll out the integration methodically, focusing on validation, market success, and continued innovation.
As Patel stated, “We’re going to be very methodical about getting something out, getting it validated in the market, making sure that there’s success, and continue to keep innovating on it.” This approach aims to ensure that the integration delivers tangible benefits to customers while addressing the evolving challenges of AI in cybersecurity.
