Cognyte Taps Ronny Lempel as CTO to Advance AI Capabilities
HERZLIYA, Israel – March 18, 2025 – Cognyte Software Ltd. (NASDAQ: CGNT), a global leader in investigative analytics software, announced today the appointment of Dr. Ronny Lempel as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Lempel’s extensive background in artificial intelligence and related technologies will be instrumental in guiding Cognyte’s research and development.
Lempel brings over 25 years of experience to Cognyte. He previously held leadership roles at Google Ads, Microsoft Azure Machine Learning, Outbrain, and Yahoo where he spearheaded research and technology initiatives. His expertise spans AI, search engines, recommendation systems, and ad tech, along with experience in military intelligence.
This appointment underscores Cognyte’s commitment to strengthening its investigative analytics software platform, particularly in the areas of AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and machine learning. “As AI evolves, the CTO plays a pivotal role in anticipating technology trends that advance customers’ strategic missions. Dr. Lempel earned a Ph.D. in computer science from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. He’s also published over 45 research papers and holds 23 U.S. patents.
