Couchbase and NVIDIA Join Forces to Advance Agentic AI Applications
Couchbase (NASDAQ: BASE) has announced a significant collaboration with NVIDIA to enhance the development of AI-powered applications. This integration incorporates NVIDIA NIM microservices into Couchbase’s Capella AI Model Services, part of the NVIDIA AI Enterprise software platform.
This strategic alliance focuses on improving several critical areas:
- Enhanced Performance: By bringing AI capabilities closer to the data, latency is reduced, which accelerates application performance.
- Improved Security: Enterprises can now run generative AI models privately with enhanced security measures.
- Streamlined RAG and Agentic AI: The collaboration streamlines retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and agentic AI capabilities, allowing organizations to operate AI workloads more efficiently.
Capella AI Model Services offers managed endpoints for LLMs and embedding models, addressing enterprise needs for privacy, performance, and scalability. The solution leverages features like semantic caching, guardrail creation, and agent monitoring, supported by RAG workflows. It utilizes NVIDIA NeMo Guardrails to help prevent AI hallucinations and enforce policies. Pre-tested LLMs are also offered, which are optimized for reliability and business-specific requirements.
