Creatopy Appoints Tammy Nam as CEO to Drive Growth in AI-Powered Ad Automation

Creatopy, a company leveraging AI to automate the creation of digital advertisements, has appointed Tammy Nam as its new Chief Executive Officer. Nam brings a wealth of experience, having previously served as COO and CMO at Picsart, a photo-editing startup, and before that, as CEO of the video streaming service Viki.

Nam, in an email to TechCrunch, stated that Creatopy sought a U.S.-based executive with a proven ability to scale early-stage startups. The company also valued experience working with European founders, given that the product originated in Romania, and a strong understanding of marketing technology. “Fortunately, I fit that bill,” Nam remarked. Besides her role as CEO, Nam will also join Creatopy’s board of directors, while the previous CEO, Dan Oros, will transition into an advisory role.

The company secured a $10 million Series A funding round last year, led by European venture capital firms 3VC and Point Nine. In a statement, Eva Arh, a partner at 3VC, described Nam as “one of the best operators I know.”

Creatopy claims significant revenue growth, with mid-market and enterprise revenue increasing by 400% between February 2024 and February 2025, a large portion of which occurred in the last six months. The company’s clientele includes prominent names like AstraZeneca, NASCAR, and The Economist.

“What’s remarkable about Creatopy — especially for a relatively unknown company — is our ability to land major enterprise customers in demanding industries like pharma and banking,” Nam observed. She highlighted the appeal of Creatopy’s product, citing its “intuitive interface, unique product capabilities, and excellent customer service.”

Nam believes that as large language models become “ubiquitous,” Creatopy distinguishes itself through its “ability to understand customer needs and deliver — perhaps ironically — high-touch value on top of the AI.” She also emphasized the importance of brand safety, with marketing managers able to upload brand kits during account setup, ensuring that all AI-generated ads adhere to brand guidelines.

“Our AI doesn’t replace strategic thinking; it amplifies it,” Nam explained. “Some of our customers have reported a 10x or more increase in productivity because we eliminate the tedious, manual work of generating hundreds of ad variations across sizes, formats, languages, etc.”
