Cvent, a well-established name in event technology catering to centralized event planning teams, has announced the acquisition of Splash. This strategic move is designed to deepen Cvent’s connection with corporate marketing professionals who leverage events to achieve their objectives.
Splash provides a user-friendly platform to generate event programs, including live, hybrid, or virtual events. Key features include website creation tools, customizable email marketing templates, registration forms, robust reporting capabilities, and seamless integration with leading marketing-technology platforms like Marketo and Salesforce.
Reggie Aggarwal, founder and CEO of Cvent, views the convergence of marketing and events as a promising avenue for company growth. “By combining Splash’s expertise in field marketing events with our powerful event and marketing platform, we’re enhancing our ability to empower marketers to design and execute on-brand, high-impact event programs that yield tangible results,” he stated.
Splash boasts a client base of over 500 organizations, including more than 60 companies listed in the Fortune 1000. This acquisition marks Cvent’s fourth of 2024. Following its own acquisition by venture-capital firm Blackstone in 2023, which was valued at $4.6 billion, Cvent has been actively expanding its portfolio. Previous acquisitions include Jifflenow, a one-on-one appointment scheduling tool, iCapture, a lead-capture technology, and Reposite, a supplier marketplace focusing on group services outside of traditional hotels and convention centers, such as transportation, restaurants, entertainment, staffing, and gifting.
