Destination Startup® is now accepting applications from burgeoning ventures seeking funding. The program connects innovative startups, often built upon novel discoveries from leading national labs and universities, with investors across North America. This showcase provides a platform to secure investment for groundbreaking research and translate it into successful commercial ventures.
Startups actively raising funds to commercialize innovations licensed from participating universities or federal laboratories are encouraged to apply. A competitive, independent selection process led by a jury will determine which applicants will be invited to present at the March showcase. The program boasts a strong track record since its inception in 2018.
Some notable results achieved by Destination Startup include:
- Attendance by over 900 investors, business leaders, and innovators from across the continent
- The launch of more than 97 new startup companies
- Over $700 million collectively raised (to date) by participating startups through venture capital, angel investment, strategic funding, and grants

- February 5, 2025: Presenting teams announced
- February 10-28, 2025: Virtual pitch practice and advising for participating teams
- March 9, 2025: Registration for showcase closes
- March 13, 2025: Destination Startup Investor Showcase (Boulder, CO)
