The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy has announced that it supported 127 digital startups in the emirate during the first quarter of 2025, representing a substantial 135% increase compared to the same period in the previous year. This growth underscores the chamber’s commitment to establishing Dubai as a leading global center for technology startups.

During Q1 2025, the chamber organized four key events designed to support businesses, empower startups, cultivate talent, and foster strategic partnerships. These initiatives aimed to streamline the process of conducting business in Dubai and create a conducive environment for startups to thrive.

Digital Upskilling Programs
The chamber’s digital upskilling programs provided training to 729 participants, focusing on enhancing the capabilities of professionals in advanced tech sectors. This initiative is part of the chamber’s efforts to develop a workforce that is well-prepared for the future.
Supporting Business Growth
The “Business in Dubai” platform continued to support companies seeking to establish or expand their presence in Dubai by providing seamless access to institutional services and valuable business matchmaking services. This platform connects companies with potential partners, investors, and clients, further boosting Dubai’s attractiveness as a prime destination for technology investment and innovation.

The UAE has maintained its position as the world’s leading environment for entrepreneurship and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) for the fourth consecutive year, according to the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) report. The UAE excelled in 11 out of 13 key indicators among high-income nations, demonstrating exceptional performance in areas such as entrepreneurial financing, favorable tax regulations, and government-backed programs.
