Electronic Health Records Platform Launches in Preliminary Form

A new electronic health file system, designed to provide doctors with a more accessible, secure, and dependable way of accessing their patients’ medical histories, is set to launch on Tuesday. However, the platform will initially be available in a preliminary form, with full operational capabilities anticipated by the end of the year.

When fully operational, the platform will compile a detailed record for every patient who has a social security number (AMKA). This comprehensive file will provide doctors with a complete medical history, encompassing hospital admissions (both public and private), surgical procedures, diagnostic tests, prescriptions, vaccination records, allergy information, and treatment protocols.
This upgrade also includes the MyHealth app, which will alleviate the need for patients to carry physical copies of test results or provide verbal summaries of their health history. The new system is particularly expected to benefit people with disabilities, as the process of claiming benefits will be completely electronic, eliminating the need for in-person appearances before committees of specialists.
