Event Tech Check: Innovative Solutions for a Dynamic Industry
As the events industry continues to evolve, technology plays an increasingly essential role. From AI-powered planning assistants to platforms designed to streamline virtual events, these new tools and upgrades are transforming how events are conceived, executed, and measured.

Hisense’s immersive booth at CES 2025 showcased their technology through the theme ‘AI Your Life.’
AI’s Impact on Events
Artificial intelligence is rapidly reshaping the event landscape. Catie Henderson, director of product management at GlobalMeet, predicts that AI will continue to be a driving force in content delivery, making events more engaging, accessible, and reusable. Additionally, data analytics will provide organizers with deeper insights into attendee engagement and sentiment, optimizing the value for their audiences.
Streamlining Virtual Event Production
RingCentral Inc. has enhanced its RingCentral Events platform with Studio, a new feature designed to simplify virtual event production. Studio offers a unified interface for managing branded content, eliminating the need for multiple tools or external production agencies. The platform supports real-time streaming and offers customization options for branding and speaker layouts.
RingCentral has also introduced AI Clips, a feature that automatically generates highlight snippets from event recordings. This tool significantly shortens the time needed to create post-event content for marketing channels, maximizing ROI.
“We are thrilled to see the value our customers are deriving from our platform,” said Kristen Koenig, RingCentral’s regional vice president and GM of video and events. “We’re excited to keep rapidly innovating and launching new AI tools, like AI Clips, to better support businesses in simplifying and powering exceptional event experiences.”
Boosting Exhibitor ROI
Trade show operating system Map Your Show (MYS) has launched Sales Accelerator, an AI-powered tool aimed at helping exhibitors generate more qualified leads. The tool leverages data on attendee behavior to predict their needs and interests, allowing exhibitors to focus on converting leads into customers and accelerating the sales cycle. MYS CEO Don Kline explains that AI is being used “to analyze the unique attendee behavior generated on our platform to help exhibitors get more out of their trade show investment.”
AI-Powered Planning Assistance
New York City Tourism + Conventions has unveiled Ellis, the first AI chat platform designed specifically for meeting and event planners. Built with GuideGeek from Matador Network and using ChatGPT-4o, it offers expert planning guidance in 45 languages. Ellis is designed to assist planners in finding venues and incorporating local elements into their events.
“Ellis opens up an exciting new chapter for business event professionals,” said Jerry Cito, executive vice president of convention development at New York City Tourism + Conventions. “We’re thrilled to enhance our convention development services with this innovative new feature.”
Simplifying Digital Event Management
ProExhibits’ XtendLive platform, launched at CES 2025, simplifies digital event management. The platform offers features such as easy setup, engaging user interfaces, and tools to measure event impact and ROI. XtendLive caters to event managers needing to handle complex event details.
“The best brands of tomorrow will master digital event management today,” says XtendLive President Dick Wheeler, emphasizing that the platform is “where simplicity meets power.”
