Event Tech Check: New Tools to Measure Event Success, Attendee Emotions, and More
BizBash dives into the newest tech solutions for events of all types, alongside must-know industry developments.
Atlanta Pride’s Futuristic Kickoff
The 2024 Atlanta Pride Official Kickoff Party, hosted at the Georgia Aquarium on October 10, embraced an “Intergalactic Futuristic Disco” theme. Designed by YES Event Designs, the event blended retro vibes with cutting-edge technology and interstellar aesthetics. A custom-built LED DJ booth in the shape of a spaceship displayed dynamic, cosmic videos, while holographic projections filled the venue with swirling galaxies and twinkling stars. The dance floor was an interactive, glowing LED surface that responded to the music, creating a kaleidoscopic display. Active Productions managed the event’s audio-visual elements.

Tech in Action
In related news, BizBash also reported on a multisensory “Sleepy Hollow” exhibition in New York, where guests could pick pumpkins under a sunset generated with tablets and LED screens using ChatGPT. Attendees could draw cloud designs and project them onto the screens.
Additionally, the Worlds Away music festival utilized technology as an immersive tool for festivalgoers, with features such as an AR scavenger hunt, a digital graffiti wall, and virtual merchandise try-ons.
