EY, a global professional services firm, has acquired Kreatif, a Microsoft services provider based in Indonesia. The deal, announced on March 3, 2025, will see Kreatif integrated into EY’s Technology Consulting business. This acquisition also lays the foundation for a new Microsoft Center of Excellence, which will serve clients in Indonesia and across the wider ASEAN region.
Established in 2012, Kreatif is a Jakarta-based IT consultancy specializing in Microsoft solutions. The firm provides advisory and support services related to ERP, CRM, Power BI, Office 365, and cloud solutions, among others.
The acquisition is a strategic move by EY to strengthen its Technology Consulting practice in the rapidly growing Southeast Asian market. Kreatif’s expertise will be combined with EY’s existing resources and industry knowledge to drive innovation for clients in the region.
Peter Surja, Country Managing Partner for Indonesia at EY, stated that the acquisition “marks a significant milestone in enhancing our Technology Consulting practice and empowering us to better support our clients’ transformation journeys.”
Gaurav Modi, ASEAN Consulting Leader at EY, added that Indonesia has been a high-growth region for EY Consulting, and this acquisition will provide additional capabilities to serve the local market and act as a Center of Excellence for the rest of the EY network in ASEAN.
Galib Machri, co-founder of Kreatif and now a partner at EY, noted that the collaboration “marks an exciting new chapter, unlocking unprecedented opportunities for expansion and development. As a Center of Excellence, we are poised to lead in providing Microsoft-based services and solutions.”
EY has a presence in all ten countries of the ASEAN region: Brunei, Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. According to data from Consultancy.org, this is EY’s first acquisition worldwide in 2025.
