    Fleet Space Technologies
Fleet Space Technologies, an Australian space exploration company, announced on Wednesday its acquisition of HiSeis, a global provider of active seismic exploration technology specializing in the minerals industry.

HiSeis is known for its hard rock seismic technology, which generates high-resolution subsurface imaging to help clients find mineral deposits. According to Fleet Space, exploration companies rely on HiSeis for the highest-resolution geological data possible with current technology, particularly when navigating the increasing complexity of deeper and more detailed exploration.

By employing active seismic solutions, HiSeis sends seismic energy into the ground and measures the returning energy after it bounces off geological features deep underground. Fleet Space stated that this acquisition will consolidate exploration technologies, which will strengthen its end-to-end exploration services. This streamlined process will allow the global mining industry to move from data acquisition to AI-enabled drill targeting throughout the mineral value chain.

With the integration of HiSeis’ advanced seismic solutions, Fleet Space’s end-to-end exploration platform, ExoSphere, will expedite the acquisition and processing of high-quality passive and active seismic data. This move will generate AI-enabled insights worldwide, according to the company.

Step Change in Data-Driven Mineral Exploration

“Fleet Space’s acquisition of HiSeis marks a transformative leap into the future of data-driven exploration,” said Flavia Tata Nardini, CEO of Fleet Space Technologies. “To unlock the potential of real-time exploration and AI, we must consolidate, standardise, and integrate high-quality datasets to maximise the predictive capabilities of frontier AI systems.”

“By combining Fleet Space’s vertically integrated exploration platform with HiSeis’ seismic exploration solutions and imaging expertise, we are taking a vital step to generate exabytes of high-quality exploration data needed to unlock faster exploration outcomes and enhance shareholder value for the global mining industry,” she added.

    New Global Headquarters

The announcement of this acquisition comes as Fleet Space unveils its new spacetech hyperfactory and global headquarters, GHQ, located at Adelaide Airport. This state-of-the-art facility spans over 5300m2 and is designed to drive the next wave of space-enabled mineral exploration.

This high-tech manufacturing hub enables the production of thousands of Fleet Space’s patented smart sensors and hundreds of satellites per year. This will expand the global service capacity for Fleet Space’s end-to-end exploration platform, ExoSphere, supporting the increasing demands of the worldwide mining industry.

Last month, Fleet Space Technologies partnered with Koloma, a natural hydrogen exploration company backed by Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos, to escalate the exploration and development of natural hydrogen resources worldwide. Last year, Fleet Space deployed its next-generation Centauri-6 satellite on SpaceX’s Bandwagon-1 mission, which was launched from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket.
