Getac and MAHLE Aftermarket Collaborate on New Diagnostic Solution
TAIPEI, Feb. 5, 2025 – Getac Technology Corporation (Getac), a prominent global provider of rugged computing solutions, has joined forces with MAHLE Aftermarket in a strategic project to develop a new diagnostic tool. The tool will run on the Android operating system and be powered by Getac’s rugged hardware. This collaboration signifies a significant milestone for Getac, demonstrating its capacity to deliver comprehensive, tailor-made solutions on a worldwide scale.
“We are proud to be part of this strategic project, working with MAHLE Aftermarket to provide a rugged solution that meets the needs of the automotive aftermarket. Our goal is to help workshops around the world solve their daily challenges as quickly and efficiently as possible using innovative digital technology,” said James Hwang, President of Getac Technology Corporation.
MAHLE Aftermarket sought a dependable technology provider that could support its global operations and proactively contribute to its mission of driving innovation through technology. The resulting project centers around a rugged hardware solution slated for distribution to multi-brand specialist garages. The aim is to ensure stringent quality standards and enhance customer experience. Workshops often face harsh conditions, including dust, grease, humidity, and temperature fluctuations, making a rugged solution the optimal technological choice for MAHLE Aftermarket.
The decision to select Getac followed extensive market research. Daniel Hessenauer, Head of Global Product Management Service Solutions for MAHLE Aftermarket, stated, “After extensive market research, we chose Getac for its global automotive experience and its ability to provide tailor-made solutions based on our specific requirements.” The need was to identify a complete solution, which includes a compact, but fully rugged Android Enterprise Recommended tablet. This tablet solution needed to combine features such as portability, features and accessories to help workshops to solve their daily challenges more efficiently.
